Awards Committee

The Awards/Nomination Committee is responsible for collecting names of individuals who have performed  outstanding matters on behalf of the defense bar, making the difficult decision of the individual that is most qualified, and then presenting them to the Board for consideration.

Additionally, the Awards/Nomination Committee is responsible for nominating individuals to serve as Directors and to decide who will be Officers of Kentucky Defense Counsel.

Per KDC's Bylaws, this three-member Committee consists of the: President Elect (who serves as Chair), Immediate Past President of KDC, and the YLS Chair. 

In 2025, the Board of Directors voted to move the Annual Awards presentation to the Spring Seminar.   Nominations for Awards will be accepted beginning November 1, 2026 and will be presented during the Spring Seminar in March 2027.
