KDC congratulates Donald P. Moloney, II of Sturgill, Turner, Barker & Moloney, PLLC, Lexington on being named Lexington's 2015 Medical Malpractice Defense "Lawyer of the Year" by Best Lawyers.  Pat has served as President of KDC, just completed a three year term as DRI State Representative for Kentucky, and will begin a three year term as Vice President for the Southern Region of DRI in mid-October.

Thomas Edward Stevens of Blackburn Domene & Burchett, PLLC, Louisville is a 2012 graduate of the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law.  Mr. Stevens practices in the areas of Education, Insurance, Premises, Product Liability and Tort and is sponsored by KDC member, Jennifer Kincaid Adams.

KDC Welcomes its newest member:  Cecilia Faye Weihe of O'Bryan, Brown & Toner PLLC, Louisville is a 2014 University of Kentucky Law School graduate.  She is currently practicing in the area of medical malpractice and is sponsored by KDC member, Whitney Kramer. 

Michael P. Reilly is now practicing with the Louisville office of Smith, Rolfes & Skavdahl Co., LPA. 

For those of you who were unable to attend the KDC Fall Seminar, we wanted to share the Rudolph A. Janata Award with all KDC members since each of you plays a part in making the award possible. 

This is the plaque presented to KDC on October 23, 2014 at the Awards Luncheon during the 2014 DRI Annual Meeting in San Francisco.  2013-14 KDC President Kit Hornback accepted the plaque but was only able to keep it for two weeks before passing it to Casey Stansbury, 2014-15 KDC President.  Each year at the Annual Meeting, the plaque will be passed to the next President of KDC as a reminder that we are an award winning organization.

The KDC Executive Committee also selected Mitch Hall to receive the Outstanding Service Award for his dedication to Common Defense.

Each of these individuals was personally recognized at the Awards Luncheon held in conjunction with the KDC Fall Seminar.  (The reason for two defense lawyers of the year:  Jeff and Craig each had the same number of defense verdicts.)

Kit Hornback was officially retired as KDC President at the luncheon and presented with a plaque.  Last, Kit passed the DRI Rudolph A. Janata Award on to KDC's 2014-15 President, Casey Stansbury as a continual reminder that we are an award winning association.
