To qualify for membership in KDC, an attorney must be a member in good standing with the Kentucky Bar Association and certify that 51% of his or her civil litigation practice is defense oriented.
New members -
There are two ways to join:
- Enter your email address below and click on "Next" to begin the process (a credit card is required), or
- Download KDC MEMBERSHIP APP 2025 fillable form.pdf and mail the application, along with your check for $150.00 made payable to Kentucky Defense Counsel to: KDC, P.O. Box 1412, Versailles, KY 40383-1412.
When applying online, if for any reason your Application for Membership is declined, we will refund the $150.00 in its entirety. If applying by mail and your Application for Membership is declined, we will return your check.
Edit Profile/Dues Renewal- If you are already a member of KDC and need to update your member profile or pay your membership renewal, please login. A box will appear on this page where you can click "Edit your Member Profile." Once that page opens, just click on "Edit profile" in the top left-hand corner. Just scroll through the list to update your profile. Then hit "Save".
While it is not mandatory, if you edit your member profile, please send a simple email to Admin@KY-def.org advising "I've updated my member profile". That will help us keep all of our records current. (Unfortunately, this program does not send us notification of member updates.)
