The 2023 Fall Seminar & Awards Luncheon will be held September 21-22 at the Origin Hotel in Lexington, KY. This unique boutique hotel is located within the Summit at Fritz Farm (at the intersection of Nicholasville Road and Man O'War Blvd).

Seminar Committee Chair Andrew DeSimone and committee has organized an outstanding program. Highlights include: presentations geared towards young lawyers to cover mediation, liens , and a discussion with Judge Kelly Mark Easton of the 2nd Appellate District Court, Division 2. A social gathering on Thursday evening will provide time to share and network with colleagues and sponsors. Friday will include presentations on Life Care Plans, EUO's, Jury Proof Your Case, Combatting Plaintiff Tactics and a panel discussion with adjusters.

The Kentucky Defense Counsel Board of Directors will meet at 11:00 am on Thursday September 21 at the Origin Hotel.

We will recognize and celebrate accomplishments and contributions to the defense bar during the Awards Luncheon. Please nominate deserving colleagues with this nomination form: 2023 KDC NOMINATION FORM.pdf . Award nominations are due to KDC office by August 1.

The fall seminar will also provide an opportunity for members to support a local charity. The newly organized KDC Philanthropy Committee is coordinating the community engagement project.

A single registration fee of $250.00 for KDC members ($425.00 for non-members) includes up to 9 hours of CLE (including one hour Ethics), social gathering event, community engagement activity, breakfast, awards luncheon and the opportunity to network with KDC sponsors and supporters. Continuing education credit approval has also been received from the KY Depart of Insurance. Current judges and law school students may attend free of charge. Guest tickets for the awards luncheon are also available for purchase. Single day registration is not available for this event.
